The debate on the non-philosophical and non-scientific character of classical African intellectual tradition has spread for so long become a dominant locus. In context multicultural relations that currently map shape contours human identity, it is now fashionable to appraise cultures identities not in isolation or with reference uniqueness but terms confluent epistemologies, mutual inter-related historical identities. This trend toward networking global history laudable, as globality narratives knowledge production fundamentally entail harmony, shared lifeworld, humanity imaginaries essences core moral- epistemological values. Against this background, article engages an intercultural analysis Orunmila Yorùbá-African thought, Socrates Greek discover areas Afro-European thought confluence philosophies these two historic figures. Consequently, uncovers textual evidence oral literature Yorùbá validates ancient philosophical thoughts no less sophisticated vis-à-vis philosophy. argues both are mutually sympathetic fundamental lessons developing contemporary canons
